Dr. Sid Jordan
He has 50 years of experience as a licensed clinical psychologist, certified yoga/meditation instructor and family Acaryá. He taught psychotherapy and community psychology for 25 years at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. For the last 25 years, he has been involved as a founding member of the Prama Institute and Wellness Center. He was an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina of Asheville in the Department of Wellness for 2 years, teaching meditation and yoga. Sid spent 4 years at the Great Smokies Creative Writing School at UNCA. He was a founding member of the Neohumanist College of Asheville, a hybrid college that offers distance learning and mentoring for a multidisciplinary college curriculum that serves a global body of faculties and students. He has a bachelors or Science Degree from Emory University in Atlanta, GA and a Ph.D. at University of Georgia Athens, GA. He completed his Post Doctoral work in Community Mental Health at Langley Porter Neuropsychiatric Institute, University of California, Berkeley.
